📍 Funanteso and Dambala Gale Outreach Sites, Mandera County

Supported by the Eastern and Southern Africa Humanitarian Fund (ESAHF) and in partnership with UNICEF Kenya, RACIDA and the Mandera County Department of Health continue to deliver integrated outreach services that improve access to essential nutrition, health and WASH services for vulnerable communities in hard-to-reach areas.

On the first day of the outreach, children under five and pregnant and breastfeeding women received nutrition screening for acute malnutrition, routine immunization, deworming, Vitamin A supplementation, health and hygiene education, and access to essential medicines.

By bringing these services closer to communities, the programme is helping detect and treat malnutrition early, strengthen child survival, and improve the health and well-being of mothers and children across Mandera County.
