As RACIDA celebrates 20 years of impact across Kenya, Ethiopia, and Somalia, we continue to spotlight the transformative power of community-led development and the critical role of women and girls in building resilient communities.

Through Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), women are gaining greater financial independence, expanding small businesses, and improving the well-being of their households. These community-based savings groups provide access to financial resources, strengthen social support networks, and create opportunities for sustainable economic growth.

We also celebrate the achievements of out-of-school adolescent girls who are building brighter futures through poultry farming grants. Equipped with practical skills, resources, and livelihood opportunities, these young women are generating income, increasing their confidence, and taking meaningful steps toward self-reliance.

Over the past two decades, RACIDA has witnessed firsthand how investing in women and girls strengthens families, boosts local economies, and fosters long-term resilience. Their success stories are a testament to the power of community-driven solutions in creating lasting and sustainable change.

As we mark this milestone, we remain committed to empowering communities, promoting inclusive economic opportunities, and building a future where women and girls can thrive and lead transformative change for generations to come.
